Today Mr Tangye came into our room to do some Aboriginal Art with us. We made paint using ochre. We ground the ochre rock into a powder, then added water and stirred to make the thick paint. We then learnt the Aboriginal symbols for 'rainy day' and 'family meeting place'. The best part of the lesson was using the ochre to paint these symbols on three huge gum trees, found in our playground. Here are some photos of this awesome lesson!
Today our school celebrated BOOK WEEK. We all got dressed up as a book character and paraded around the hall in front of our school community. We had such a great time. Thankyou Miss Campbell for helping us learn about how awesome books are!!!
2/3A would like to wish our lovely classmate Avery GOOD LUCK at her new school! Her happy face will be missed in our classroom! We hope that Avery is able to keep in contact with us, through our class blog! We will miss you!
